About this piece

I made this as a Christmas countdown you can feel. The calendar is a sturdy 230 x 222 x 50 mm compartment box with 24 numbered pockets. Each pocket has a raised print number and a raised Braille numeral, so the days can be found by fingertip. I pair the box with small Christmas ornament busts, including a reindeer, polar bear, penguin, dove, lamb, donkey, owl, fox, Santa, angel, snowman, elf, nutcracker, gingerbread man, nativity stable, crowns, star, church, pine cone, candle, gift box, candy cane, wreath and Christmas tree. You can use the printed ornaments, add small treats or mix both.

Why I made it this way

  • I use 24 numbered compartments with raised Braille numerals.
  • I make the ornaments distinct enough to explore by touch.
  • I keep the box compact enough for a shelf, table or mantel.
  • I designed it to be reused year after year.
  • I made it for families where blind, visually impaired and sighted people share the same countdown.

What arrives

If you choose the printed option, I send the box and ornament set cleaned, checked and ready to fill. Some small parts are included, so keep them away from very young children.

Printing and finishing

I make printed orders to order in Denmark. I inspect the print, clean the edges, check the compartments and pack everything safely before shipping.

Returns and digital files

Printed items have a 14-day right of withdrawal, plus your 2-year complaint right. For digital downloads, the 14-day withdrawal right ends once the download begins.
