About this piece

I designed this because safety information should not disappear when you cannot rely on sight. The plan uses raised walls, routes, exits, symbols and Braille labels so the layout can be followed by fingertip before an emergency happens. The shown version is split into two panels, each about 210 x 250 x 6 mm. It includes a Danish evacuation plan layout with raised room labels, escape direction symbols, a you-are-here marker, a north arrow and matching Braille. The layout, language and labels can be adapted to a specific building.

Why I made it this way

  • I use raised routes, walls and symbols so the plan can be read by touch.
  • I add Braille beside printed labels so the same sign serves more people.
  • I use high contrast so low-vision and sighted users can read it quickly too.
  • I split the design into panels that fit realistic print beds.
  • I can adapt the plan to your floor layout, rooms and safety information.

What arrives

If you choose the printed option, I send the panels cleaned, checked and ready to mount. Contact me before ordering if you need a plan based on your own building.

Printing and finishing

I make printed orders to order in Denmark. I inspect the print, check the tactile detail, clean the edges and pack it safely before shipping.

Returns and digital files

Printed items have a 14-day right of withdrawal, plus your 2-year complaint right.
